Now compared from the first IT movie produced in 1990 I can say they tried to put a different spend on it but it does not come as close to the original. Worth watching. After the promotions of this film, expected this one to be a good show. Though to be honest, the villain clown could never convince me enough before watching this film and sadly couldn't do it even after watching it. The plot, I felt was pretty much drawn and lost its way here and there. And the fear quotient was also not that much up-to-the mark. So much so, that I dozed off a couple of times in the middle and also found the appearance of the 'ghost clown' funny at times.
To make things worse, some of the characters were not required in the main plot and the characterization was also a bit below par, I felt. Also, the romance between the characters was uncalled for and it only maligned the main plot. Also, this movie has one of the worst endings that I have seen in a horror flick. You end it with a 'totally-not-required' smooch! Oh God! And this movie was supposed to scare the hell out of us!
All in all, it was an experience with nothing to write home about! I would definitely recommend to give this movie a skip, if you want to invest your precious time in some good horror movies.

"It" was utterly terrifying in every way! The new Pennywise is much more gruesome and demonic. I absolutely loved every single jump scare! The character choices were perfect and Bill did a brilliant job playing Pennywise. If you walk out of this movie unsatisfied, then I don't know what to say. I love the original IT but I believe this one now takes the cake! The fact that the developers made Pennyiwse's appearance that much more terrifying than the original, really boosted the overall greatness of the movie. It's creepy, disturbing,scary, and a genuine terror. I haven't seen the remake of this movie or the original Miniseries, but is it just me or does anybody else recognize some of the characters from other movies/books? I recognized a few names from the book/movie Needful things.
